  • After the workshop, Bill, Don and Joyce went for a beautiful 5 mile hike through a wild part of Ward Pound Ridge Reservation...at one point it skirts some private properties whose owners are wary of curious hikers...
  • Looking in vain for signs of life at a private, eutrophic pond along part of the trail.  We did see wildlife up close, including deer, a pileated woodpecker (the size of a crow) and a red tailed hawk
